Petrobras to Start Production Tests at Franco Field This Year

Feb. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Petroleo Brasileiro SA, Brazil’s state-controlled oil producer, will start production tests at its Franco field and output at its Sapinhoa field in the so- called pre-salt deepwater area this year.
The company expects to have 20 rigs operating in the Santos Basin’s pre-salt area by the end of the year, according to a statement handed to reporters in Rio de Janeiro today.
