Feb. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Chancellor Angela Merkel told German coalition lawmakers that Greece will need more aid to avoid the debt crisis worsening, according a party official who attended the meeting.

Merkel said that Greek aid has always been dependent upon conditions, that Greece meets certain targets in return for its money, the official told reporters on condition of anonymity because the meeting in Berlin today was held in private. Merkel told lawmakers that the situation could spin out of control if Greece is cut off from aid, the official said.
