Greek Minimum Wage to Be Cut 22%, Labor Minister Tells Lawmakers

Feb. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Greece’s government agreed to cut the minimum wage by 22 percent as part of terms to secure a second aid package from the European Union and International Monetary Fund, Labor Minister George Koutroumanis said.
“No one can deny that the 22 percent cut in the minimum wage is very big,” Koutroumanis told lawmakers in Athens today in comments carried live on state-run Vouli TV.
