U.K. Pound Rises Versus Euro, Dollar as BOE Boosts Bond Program

Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- The pound strengthened against the euro and the dollar after the Bank of England said it would raise its bond-buying program by 50 billion pounds ($79 billion) to 325 billion pounds.
The U.K. currency appreciated 0.3 percent to 83.59 pence per euro at 12:05 p.m. London time. It climbed 0.2 percent to $1.5854.
