Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- The rand pared its decline against the dollar after the Financial Times reported that Greek politicians had reached an accord on austerity measures.

South Africa’s currency traded 0.5 percent weaker at 7.5927 per dollar as of 3:20 p.m. in Johannesburg. It declined as much as 1.4 percent in earlier trading.
