Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Belarus is poised to export 400,000 metric tons of sugar made from domestically grown beets this year, half of which will be shipped to Russia, the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies said.
Belarus refined 4.2 million tons of beets and made 596,000 tons of sugar from the crop grown in 2011, Ikar, as the Moscow- based institute is known, said in an e-mailed statement today.
