Feb. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc Chief Executive Officer Stephen Hester said he considered resigning but decided it would be the wrong thing to do.

“I’m not a robot but there have been some deeply depressing moments,” he said in an interview with BBC Radio 4’s “Today” program. “In the end, in the intensity of it, I came to the conclusion that it would be indulgent for me to resign and what I ought to do is draw from the reserves of the strengths I have and make RBS a success.”
