Newmont’s Akyem Project in Ghana to Be on Time, Under Budget

Feb. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Newmont Mining Corp., which is exploring for the metal in six African nations, expects its Akyem project in Ghana will be on time and under budget, Investor Relations Vice President John Seaberg said.
The company is analyzing more opportunities around Ahafo in the west African nation, Seaberg said in a presentation at the Investing in African Mining Indaba conference in Cape Town today.
