Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- McDonald’s Corp., the biggest restaurant chain in the world, may report that sales at global stores open at least 13 months gained 5.8 percent in January, according to the average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Bloomberg News. The Oak Brook, Illinois-based company will report sales for last month tomorrow at 7:58 a.m. New York time.
Same-store sales rose 9.6 percent in December. Comparable, or same-store, sales are considered an indicator of a retailer’s growth because they include only older locations.
