EU Says Rehn Available for Eurogroup Meeting Whenever Called

Feb. 8 (Bloomberg) -- European Union Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn will be available to attend a meeting of euro-area finance ministers on Greece whenever it’s called, European Commission spokesman Amadeu Altafaj said.
Altafaj told reporters in Brussels today that “something concrete” must be on the table before Luxembourg’s Jean-Claude Juncker, who leads the group of euro-area finance ministers, convenes the group.
A Greek debt-swap deal with private creditors is “an essential element” of a second rescue program, he said.
The commission awaits more details on a proposed separate account for Greek debt payments, Altafaj said.
