Ethiopia Telecom Posts First-Half Revenue of 5.6 Billion Birr

Feb. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Ethio Telecom, the Ethiopian state- owned monopoly phone company, said it posted first-half revenue of 5.6 billion birr ($322 million).
The number of customers increased by 31 percent in the period, according to a statement handed to reporters by the company today in Addis Ababa, the capital.
France Telecom SA started a two-year contract to manage the company in December 2010.
