Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- IAC/InterActiveCorp., the operator of Match.com and Ask.com, hired Panera Bread Co.’s Jeff Kip as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Kip will leave Panera March 15 and join IAC, the bakery company said today in a statement. Kip is presently Panera’s executive vice president and CFO. He will replace IAC’s Thomas McInerney, who said in August he would step down after 12 years with the company.

IAC’s Barry Diller, billionaire chairman of the company which operates more than 50 websites, is building digital content and service-oriented businesses to expand.

In December 2010, he named Greg Blatt as New York-based IAC’s chief executive officer. He was previously the company’s general counsel and the chief executive of its Match.com online dating business.
