Venture Capital Bank May Spend at Least $250 Million in Turkey

Feb. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Venture Capital Bank BSC of Bahrain will spend at least $250 million in Turkey over the next five years, said chief executive Abdullatif Mohamed Janahi.
Venture Capital, which is a Shariah-compliant private equity firm, is looking at the health, consumer and real estate industries in Turkey, Janahi said in an interview in Istanbul today.
He spoke after Venture Capital and Bank Alkhair BSC of Bahrain agreed today to pay about $100 million for 65 percent of Goknur Gida, a Turkish fruit juice maker that sells products to companies including Pepsi Co and Coca-Cola Co.
