Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Venezuela captured two Colombian brothers who led a paramilitary group that engaged in drug trafficking, Interior Minister Tarek El Aissami said.
Venezuelan authorities arrested Hector Buitrago Parada, alias “Martin Llanos,” and Nelson Orlando Buitrago Parada, known as “Horse,” on Feb. 4 in eastern Anzoategui state, El Aissami said in comments carried by state television yesterday.
The Buitrago brothers, wanted for crimes including drug trafficking and murder, would be delivered immediately to Colombian authorities, El Aissami said. Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, speaking on the Caracol television network, said Colombia had 11 warrants out for the arrest of “Martin Llanos.”
