TRUenergy Says Plans to Reapply for Australian Solar Funding

Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- TRUenergy Holdings Pty, the Australian electricity supplier owned by CLP Holdings Ltd., plans to resubmit an application for federal government funding to build a 180-megawatt solar-power project in Victoria state.

“We welcome the opportunity, and we think we have a strong consortium and a well-advanced project,” Carl Kitchen, a Melbourne-based spokesman for TRUenergy, said by phone today after the government today reopened a competition for solar funding. TRUenergy’s partner is First Solar Inc., Kitchen said.
