Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Hunton & Williams LLP, a Richmond, Virginia-based firm with more than 800 lawyers, hired John T. O’Connor, who was a partner at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, as the firm expands its corporate practice.
O’Connor, 51, has experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and securities matters, Hunton & Williams said today in a statement. He will join the firm’s corporate practice as a partner in its New York office.
“His significant M&A experience in the energy and financial institution sectors complements the firm’s extensive client base and presence in these two industries,” T. Justin Moore III, head of the corporate team, said in the statement.
Hunton & Williams was the 43rd-largest grossing law firm in fiscal 2010 with revenue of $600 million, according to the American Lawyer, a trade publication.
