Piramal Healthcare Acquires 5.5% Stake in Vodafone’s India Unit

Feb. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Piramal Healthcare Ltd. has agreed to buy a stake of about 5.5 percent in Vodafone Group Plc’s Indian unit from the Essar Group for about 30.07 billion rupees, the company said in a statement to the BSE India stock exchange.
Piramal’s stake in Vodafone India will rise to about 11 percent after the purchase, according to the statement.
