Peru Stocks: Candente, El Brocal, Maple, Southern Copper, Volcan

Feb. 6 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 1:28 p.m. Lima time.
The Lima General Index fell for the first session in two weeks, losing 0.3 percent to 22,849.47. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index dropped 0.3 percent to 2,873.14.
Copper and zinc miners fell after metals and U.S. stocks declined, said Francisco Miranda, an analyst at Lima-based investment fund NC&F Inversiones SA.
Sociedad Minera El Brocal SAA (BROCALC1 PE), a zinc and copper producer, dropped 1.9 percent to 52 soles. Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest copper producer, fell for a third session in four, losing 1.8 percent to $34.80. The company is expected to publish fourth-quarter earnings this week. Candente Copper Corp. (DNT PE), a Canadian exploration company, slid 1.8 percent to $1.10. Volcan Cia. Minera SAA (VOLCABC1 PE), Peru’s largest zinc and silver producer, declined 1.1 percent to 3.56 soles.
Maple Energy Plc (MPLE PE), the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, slumped 3.5 percent to $1.37 after crude declined in New York.
