Feb. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Taiwan trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 9:26 a.m. in Taipei.
The Taiex Index rose 0.9 percent to 7,744.06, set for an eighth day of gains and the longest winning streak since September 2009.
Inotera Memories Inc. (3474 TT), a venture between Nanya Technology Corp. and Micron Technology Inc., gained 4 percent to NT$6.27. Inotera President Charles Kau said by phone today that the death of Micron Chief Executive Officer Steve Appleton would have no impact on its operations.
MediaTek Inc. (2454 TT) gained 0.5 percent to NT$294. The company’s fourth quarter net income totaled NT$2.92 billion, less than the NT$3.39 billion median of 16 analyst estimates in a Bloomberg survey.
Neo-Solar Power Corp. (3576 TT) slumped 6.7 percent to NT$27.90, set for the biggest drop since Dec. 15. January revenue fell 65 percent to NT$850 million, the company said in a statement to the Taiwan Stock Exchange yesterday.
