S.Africa’s ANC Youth Claims Panel Members Biased Is ‘Ridiculous’

February 04, 2012

Feb. 4 (Bloomberg) -- An argument by members of South Africa’s ruling African National Congress’s Youth League that members of a discplinary panel that sanctioned its leader, Julius Malema, were biased is “ridiculous,” said Cyril Ramaphosa, chairman of a party appeal committee.

The league failed “to convince members of the appeal panel that charges were aimed at settling political scores,” he told reporters in Johannesburg today.
