Feb. 2 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks gained and Treasuries retreated after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said he sees signs the economy is improving.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index rose 0.2 percent to 1,326.17 at 10:05 a.m. in New York. The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note climbed two basis points to 1.84 percent.
