U.K. Stocks Decline; Benchmark FTSE 100 Index Falls 0.3%

Feb. 2 (Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks declined for the first day in three, as the benchmark FTSE 100 Index slipped 15.35, or 0.3 percent, to 5,775.37 at 9:00 a.m. in London, .

Royal Dutch Shell Plc and BP Plc, Europe’s biggest oil producers, paced declines, falling more than 1.5 percent to outweigh gains in mining stocks after Glencore International Plc offered to buy shares in Xstrata Plc.
