Feb. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Sony Corp. Chief Financial Officer Masaru Kato said losses at the company’s TV business will widen this fiscal year, including a charge from exiting a panel venture with Samsung Electronics Co.
The TV business may have a loss of 220 billion yen to 230 billion yen in the year ending in March, compared with a November forecast for 175 billion yen, Kato told reporters in Tokyo today. Excluding that, the company would have reduced losses by 10 billion yen this year because of cost reductions, he said.
