Nigerian Military Kill 11 Boko Haram Members in Maiduguri Battle

Jan. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Nigerian soldiers killed 11 members of Boko Haram, an Islamist militant group, in a gun battle in Maiduguri, in the northeast of the country, according to army spokesman Victor Ibhaleme.

The soldiers shot and killed 11 “high profile Boko Haram members” during a routine stop-and-search operation earlier today, he said by phone from the city.
