Italy Banks Hiked Risk Fees and Tightened Credit in 4th Quarter

Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Italian banks tightened credit and hiked the margins charged on loans in the fourth quarter, Bank of Italy data published today show.

An indicator of changes to the average margin charged on company loans rose to 0.69 in the fourth quarter from 0.31 in the third quarter, the data show.
