Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Greece expects to complete talks on a private sector debt swap and a second international financing deal for the country in the next days, government spokesman Pantelis Kapsis said.
“Significant steps” have been made on both fronts and “we are close,” Kapsis told reporters in Athens today.
Prime Minister Lucas Papademos plans to meet with the leaders of the three political parties backing his government before any announcement is made, Kapsis said. The meeting is “critical” in the process of finalizing the two deals, he said.
