Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Barclays Plc cuts its 2012 price forecast for U.S. natural gas, citing warm weather and storage supplies that are “well ahead of 2011 levels.”

Natural gas will average $3.05 per million British thermal units in 2012, Shiyang Wang, a New York-based analyst at Barclays Capital, said in a research note dated yesterday. That’s down from the bank’s previous estimate of $3.80.
