Jan. 31 (Bloomberg) -- South Korea’s industrial production rose 2.8 percent in December from a year earlier, Statistics Korea said today in Gwacheon, south of Seoul.
The median estimate of 12 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News was for a 4.1 percent gain. Production fell 0.9 percent from the previous month, compared with a 1.1 percent increase estimated by economists and a revised 0.3 percent drop in November.
