Santander Sees Brazil Default Rates Declining, Portela Says

Jan. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Banco Santander Brasil SA expects default rates in the South American country to fall as a result of economic growth, declining unemployment and rising wages, Chief Executive Officer Marcial Portela told reporters today in Sao Paulo.
