Santander May Change 2012 Brazil Credit Forecast, Portela Says

Jan. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Banco Santander Brasil SA may change at the end of this quarter its forecast for credit expansion in Brazil, Chief Executive Officer Marcial Portela said.

Santander Brasil, a unit of Spain’s largest bank, plans to buy payroll-backed loan portfolios this year, Portela told reporters today in Sao Paulo.
