Jan. 31 (Bloomberg) -- China Telecom Corp. can’t comment on talks with Apple Inc. after the official China Daily reported the carrier may offer the iPhone from next month, Jacky Yung, a Hong Kong-based spokesman for the carrier, said.
China Telecom’s Beijing-based spokeswoman Li Jiajia said she had no information available on whether the carrier would be offering the iPhone and declined to comment on the China Daily report, which cited a press release from the company’s Beijing subsidiary.
Carolyn Wu, a Beijing-based spokeswoman for Apple, didn’t return phone calls.
