Mantega Says Brazil Spending Policies Allow For More Rate Cuts

Jan. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Brazil’s government will keep in place tight spending policies from last year in order to allow the central bank room to cut interest rates more, Finance Minister Guido Mantega said.

Brazil should grow 4.5 percent this year, driven by high investment levels, Mantega said in a conference call with reporters today.
