Jan. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Jean-Claude Juncker, the prime minister of Luxembourg who leads the group of euro-area finance ministers, said in a Handelsblatt interview that it isn’t “totally absurd” to suggest the European Central Bank and euro region states might be forced to take a loss on Greek debt.
The newspaper quoted Juncker as saying that suggesting such a solution “is not fully absurd. It would be absurd to comment publicly on it now.”
