IFC to Invest as Much as $1.2B in Mexico Housing, Finance

Jan. 26 (Bloomberg) -- The International Finance Corp. plans to invest $1.1 billion to $1.2 billion in Mexico’s home- building and financial sectors, an official said today.

Roberto Albisseti, an IFC representative in Mexico, announced the planned investment during an event today in Mexico City. The IFC will also invest in Mexican education, energy and telecommunications, he said, without saying how much.
