Jan. 18 (Bloomberg) -- A government contractor was charged by U.S. prosecutors with stealing computer code from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Bo Zhang was charged with stealing proprietary software code owned by the U.S. Treasury Department, according to a copy of the criminal complaint in Manhattan federal court that was made public today.

Zhang is scheduled to appear in federal court today, said Carly Sullivan, a spokeswoman for U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara in Manhattan.

The case is U.S. v. Zhang, 12-mag-00108, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York (Manhattan).
