Jan. 24 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 4:10 p.m. New York time.
The Lima General Index gained for the sixth time in seven days, rising 0.3 percent to 21,277.53. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 0.3 percent to 2,705.06.
Zinc and tin miners gained after the metals advanced in London, said Estefany Castillo, an analyst at Scotiabank Peru.
Cia. Minera Atacocha SA (ATACOBC1 PE), the Lima-based zinc mining company, climbed 3.6 percent to 86 centimos. Volcan Cia. Minera SAA (VOLCABC1 PE), Peru’s largest zinc and silver producer, rose for a sixth session, adding 2.7 percent to 3.45 soles. Minsur SA (MINSURI1 PE), the world’s fourth-largest tin producer, gained 1.5 percent to 2.79 soles. Sociedad Minera El Brocal SAA (BROCALC1 PE), a zinc and copper producer, advanced 1 percent to 50 soles.
Refiners gained after natural gas advanced for a third session in New York.
Refineria la Pampilla SA (RELAPAC1 PE), a unit of Spain’s Repsol YPF SA known as Relapasa, jumped 4.3 percent to 96 centimos. Maple Energy Plc (MPLE PE), the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, rose 1.7 percent to $1.21.
