Bosch to Buy SPX’s Vehicle-Diagnostics Unit for $1.15 Billion

Jan. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Robert Bosch GmbH plans to buy SPX Corp.’s service-solutions division for $1.15 billion, expanding the German car-parts maker’s vehicle-diagnostics business.

Bosch and Charlotte, North Carolina-based SPX intend to complete the transaction in the first half of this year, the Karlsruhe-based manufacturer said today in a statement. The unit generated sales of about $920 million last year, the companies said.
