German Rescue Fund Period Shouldn’t Be Limited, Bundesbank Says

Jan. 23 (Bloomberg) -- The reactivation of Germany’s Soffin bank rescue fund shouldn’t be limited to one year, Bundesbank Vice President Sabine Lautenschlaeger said today at a parliamentary budget committee meeting in Berlin.

“Given that no one knows where the markets will go, I don’t consider a limitation to be appropriate,” she said in response to questions from lawmakers.
