Jan. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Units of Ecobank Transnational Inc. and Societe Generale SA are among five banks giving a loan of 170 billion CFA francs ($336 million) to build a 1.5 million-ton capacity cement plant in Benin, said Finance Minister Adidjatou Mathys.

The West African Development Bank, Bank of Africa Group and the Islamic Bank of Senegal are the other lenders, she told reporters in Cotonou, the commercial capital, today.
