Ukraine’s Grain Exports Declined Almost 57% in First 11 Days

Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Ukrainian grain exports declined almost 57 percent in the first 11 days this year compared with the same period in December, agricultural researcher ProAgro said, citing preliminary information from ports.

Exports fell to 316,000 metric tons from 727,510 tons, ProAgro said in e-mailed statement today.

Shipments of corn declined to 196,500 tons from 475,910 tons and wheat exports dropped to 90,920 tons from 208,390 tons, it said.

Another 534,300 tons of grain are ready to be shipped in the near future from ports, the researcher said. This includes 469,400 tons of corn and 55,000 tons of wheat, it said.
