January 16, 2012

Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Ireland’s central bank reappointed BlackRock Inc.’s BlackRock Solutions to carry out this year’s round of stress tests of the country’s lenders, a spokesman for the Dublin-based bank said by phone.

The country’s central bank ordered the nation’s lenders to raise an additional 24 billion euros of capital following stress tests carried out by BlackRock in March. The banks are subject to annual stress tests. The Sunday Times yesterday reported the reappointment of BlackRock.
