IATA CFO Survey Shows 4th-Quarter Profit Drop at 63% of Airlines

Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Earnings fell in the fourth quarter at 63 percent of airlines surveyed by the International Air Transport Association, according to a report released today.

Almost 52 percent of chief financial officers and heads of cargo also expect profit to decline over the next 12 months, IATA said today in a statement. In IATA’s previous poll, in October, only 33 percent predicted a 12-month deterioration.
