RBS’s Ulster Bank Seeks 950 Job Cuts, Bank Union Says

Jan. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc’s Irish unit plans to eliminate 950 jobs in a second round of job cuts in four years, said Irish Bank Officials Association, in an e-mailed statement.

Dublin-based Ulster Bank Ltd., which eliminated 1,000 jobs in 2009, or about one-seventh of its workforce, will cut 600 jobs in the Republic of Ireland and 350 positions in Northern Ireland, the IBOA said.
