RBS’S Ulster Bank Says Cutting 950 Jobs As Economies Deteriorate

Jan. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Royal Bank of Scotland Plc’s Irish unit Ulster Bank said it is eliminating 950 jobs.

“As local and global economies continue to deteriorate, these actions are being taken as part of the bank’s overall business strategy to ensure the organization is well placed to compete effectively in the market,” the Dublin-based lender said in an e-mailed statement.
