Jan. 12 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 4:10 p.m. New York time.
The Lima General Index rose for a fourth session, gaining 1.3 percent to 20,539.69. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index climbed 0.9 percent to 2,645.85.
Industrial shares gained after U.S. stocks advanced, said Estefany Castillo, an analyst at Scotiabank Peru.
Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca SA (POMALCC1 PE), a sugar producer, rose 4.1 percent to 51 centimos. Empresa Siderurgica del Peru SAA (SIDERC1 PE), a unit of Gerdau SA known as Siderperu, climbed 3.5 percent to 89 centimos. Ferreyros SA (FERREYC1 PE), the Lima-based distributor for Caterpillar Inc., gained 2.6 percent to 2.39 soles.
Copper and gold miners rose after metals gained in New York and London.
Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML PE), a Canadian gold and copper exploration company, advanced 9.3 percent to 47 cents. Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE), a Canadian company with a mine in Peru, climbed 3.6 percent to $3.73. Candente Copper Corp. (DNT PE), a Canadian exploration company, rose 4.3 percent to 98 cents. Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest copper producer, gained for a third session, adding 3.1 percent to $33.30.
