Jan. 12 (Bloomberg) -- The lira weakened for the first time in five days against the dollar, dropping from the strongest closing level in a month.
Turkey’s currency declined 0.1 percent to 1.8573 versus dollar at 9:52 a.m. in Istanbul. The lira has gained 1.9 percent this year, the most among emerging markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
