Kosmos to Spend $18 Million on Cameroon Oil Exploring

Jan. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Kosmos Energy Ltd.’s unit in Cameroon signed a deal with the state-owned National Hydrocarbons Corp. to spend $18 million exploring for oil in the onshore Fako block, according to a statement from the two companies.

Kosmos will conduct a six-year study of the 1,289 square- kilometer area, including collecting data and drilling two exploration wells, according to the statement, which was handed to reporters in Yaounde, the capital, today.
