Jan. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Talks between the Greek government and private creditors on a debt swap are in the final stages, a Greek Finance Ministry official said.
A meeting in Athens today between Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos, Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos and Charles Dallara, the managing director of the Washington-based Institute of International Finance, was positive and productive and discussions will continue tomorrow, said the official, who declined to be identified.
European finance ministry representatives will meet in Brussels today to discuss the debt swap, the Greek official said.
