Jan. 9 (Bloomberg) -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that she’s a “great advocate” of more regulation in financial markets.
In a speech to the IHK trade chambers in Dusseldorf today, Merkel said that she can’t be satisfied with the level of reglulation achieved so far.
Europe must assert itself in the global marketplace as competition becomes much harder, she said.
