Hungary PM Says Over 40,000 Public Workers Want to Use Repayment

Jan. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said over 40,000 public workers indicated their intention to take part in a foreign-currency mortgage repayment plan below market rates.

Economy Minister Gyorgy Matolcsy is in talks with banks that hold the largest amount of such loans for offering subsidized forint credit for public workers, Orban said in an interview with state news agency MTI today.
